We are seeking an accomplished Estimator Manager to lead our estimating department, ensuring accurate and timely estimates for all projects at the headquarters level. The estimating process for precast manufacturing is highly detailed and intricate, as each structure is unique. This role requires thorough analysis to determine the most effective and efficient approach to production while maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities Estimating Leadership Lead and oversee the estimating department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in project estimates. Develop and implement innovative estimating processes and strategies to optimize workflow. Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing to establish departmental goals and objectives. Foster a culture of continuous learning by providing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for the estimating team. Comprehensive Estimating Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and related documents to develop accurate estimates. Conduct cost analysis, considering labor, materials, equipment, and other project expenses. Work closely with engineering, project management, production, and sales teams to gather essential information for precise estimates. Communicate with customers, sales, and stakeholders to address inquiries and provide estimate clarifications. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the estimating process. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in estimating software and tools. Key Results Team Productivity: Establish impactful training programs and mentorship initiatives within the first three months.Estimate Accuracy: Develop a comprehensive database of historical project data within the first year.Process Efficiency: Implement innovative technologies or tools to streamline the estimating process within six months.Cross-Department Collaboration: Enhance communication between estimating, sales, project management, engineering, and production to improve project execution and customer satisfaction.Process Optimization: Conduct quarterly evaluations of estimating tools, methodologies, and processes to identify areas for improvement.Performance Metrics: Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing to establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience in estimating, preferably in the precast manufacturing or construction industry.Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role, with a track record of developing and mentoring teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and project documents.Proficiency in estimating software, cost analysis, and project management tools.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
