Assistant/Associate Professor, Nephrology and Hypertension - Pediatrics, McGovern Medical School (Finance)
The division has an active pediatric nephrology fellowship program with a long tradition of graduating future leaders in the field. The division is an active participant in CKiD, RAFT, NAPRTCS, PNRC, and IROC, with plans to join SCOPE.
Excellent teaching opportunities are available for medical students, residents, and fellows. The selected candidate will contribute to the department's mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services.
The new faculty will join a dynamic team of 6 Nephrologists and a Nurse Practitioner with various clinical and academic interests. The Division of Pediatric Nephrology & Hypertension is supported by dedicated pediatric nephrology and dialysis nurses, a full-time research coordinator, transplant coordinators, a social worker, a dietitian, and administrative staff.
Position Key Accountabilities:
The selected candidate will provide direct patient care in the clinic and hospital setting, share call and in-service coverage, and participate in outreach clinics in satellite locations.
