Welder (Manufacturing)
TBEI – Tishomingo is a cutting-edge manufacturer of Class 3-8 truck bodies and truck and trailer hoists.
Come join our growing team! We are currently looking to add multiple WELDERS to our growing team. We are currently offering a $1000 sign-on bonus. Pay Range is $18.00-$22.00 with weekly attendance bonus and quarterly profit sharing.
Essential Duties:
· Using jib boom, crane, conveyors or manual lifting, move components into proper position.
· Lay out, position, and align truck body components using blueprints.
· Clamp and/or tack weld parts to secure in position for welding
· Measure to ensure accuracy
· Using a wire-feed welder, join components ensuring quality weld
· Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned.
· Maintain a clean work environment.
· Assist with continuous process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow and remaining flexible to complete tasks as part of the team.
Skills/Qualifications:
· Able to perform basic math to determine ability to measure, assemble and problem-solve.
· Able to demonstrate welding ability and pass welding certifications.
· Able to manually move product and materials up to 50 pounds through regular heavy physical exertion, including but not limited to climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and bending.
· Able to stand and work in various positions for several hours at a time. Most of the work is done on concrete, ladders and in dump bodies.
· Able to determine and make welding equipment adjustments as needed, read complicated instructions, blueprints, measuring devices, and perform basic computer data entry.
· Able to learn operations of multiple machines/jigs within a job area and must be able to regularly rotate jobs to meet job schedule, team needs or to meet any safety recommendations.
