The Warehouse Supervisor is required to follow all Howmet Aerospace safety regulations, policies, and all department-specific requirements. The Supervisor will direct, manage, and motivate employees that are assigned to the warehouse department, and ensure all warehouse activities are properly scheduled, and production flow is maintained. Must be able to work off-shifts and weekends as needed. Must function as a working supervisor and work with employees as needed for support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Using Computers (Type correspondence, memos, reports, and shipping documents using Microsoft Office programs.)
• Must be able to function as a member of a team.
• Must be able to maintain expected quality levels.
• Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to: EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Safely manage activities related to shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products.
• Gather product and materials that will be sent to outsourced suppliers.
• Complete inventory cycle counts on time and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure packing lists (including import/export documentation) are completed correctly.
• Manage inventory movement activities.
• Communicate with internal/external customers as needed.
• Maintain files and records.
• Communicate well across all levels of the organization - internal/external.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Set up training process for new employees.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste.
• High degree of work hour flexibility and overtime to make shipments
• Other duties as assigned.
