General Superintendent (Construction)
They are accountable for the on-site supervision of assigned construction projects, trade contractors, and field personnel, in such a way as to ensure scheduled completion of projects within established budget, time frame, quality and performance standards, and customer/client satisfaction. In addition, they are responsible for reviewing project documents, plans and specifications, directing construction activities, resolving construction difficulties, coordinating field installations, project close-outs, and developing and/or maintaining customer/client relationships.
Essential Functions:
Provide high level oversight on all field construction projects and staff on those projects. Ensure safety standards, per company best practices and OSHA standards, are implemented at job-sites and on-site leadership is enforcing it. Follow & promote all guidelines, policies and procedures established by the company. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, health & safety laws & ordinances including but not limited to ASHE, OSHA, MDH, and the DOT Oversee & implement project quality standards tight and complex construction schedules to deliver projects on time and on budget. Work with superintendents to establish in-field workflow, quality controls, subcontractor management and best practices. Coaching and mentoring superintendents in adhering to budgets, schedules, workflow, and output. Collaborate and coordinate the selection and ongoing management of subcontractors and vendors through the project managers. Work closely with director of operations to ensure each project has adequate manpower/resources for timely project completion. Continuous travel to job sites for meetings, updates, and to review quality and procedures. Work closely with director of operations to further companywide annual objectives. Work with internal project management teams to coordinate specialty equipment requirements for construction projects. Manage field operations budget and oversight of tools and equipment. Promote the company reputation by exercising sound and ethical business practices as they relate to customers, suppliers, employees and the public Responsible for the organizational talent, training and development, and retention of field team. This includes performance reviews, time and labor management, and employee discipline.Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional, and courteous manner.

Proficient in scheduling and training with a good knowledge of the company policies and personnel capabilities. Show good judgment in reporting and solving problems in a timely manner. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Required skills needed but not limited to the following:
HS Diploma or GEDOSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, Valid Drivers License High school degree is required. Post secondary degree (trade or bachelors) is preferred 5-10 years of construction leadership experience on projects over $10M in value. Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, engineering principles/techniques and the ability to converse this subject matter with others. Ability to read, comprehend and interpret project schedules, drawings, specs, and contracts. The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide sufficiently to figure normal calculations. Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships at all levels. Trained & efficient in Microsoft Suites such as Project, Excel, Outlook, and Word. Intermediate knowledge of ProCore Project management expertise with the ability to manage budgets, deadlines and coordination of all facets of a project. Highly developed communication skills (listening, influence management, consensus development) paired with outstanding presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build successful and lasting relationships with team members, architects, owners, subcontractors, and municipalities. Strong analytical and logic skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of precision on detailed work. High energy and self-motivated with a sense of urgency to complete assigned tasks. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, consistently meeting or beating deadlines.
