About the Team
The Finance and Treasury IT team provides strategic solutions and support for the various applications and platforms supporting Finance and Treasury functions. The team is responsible for:
- Solution architecting
- Development and support
- Technical documentation
- Liaising with Finance and Program Management teams on program deliverables
- Unit Testing and UAT support
- Production Release deployment
Summary
The Financial Data Warehouse Lead to drive and support our data warehousing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial data management, data engineering, and a passion for optimizing data processes. You will lead the development and maintenance of our financial data warehouse, ensuring that it supports analytical and reporting needs across the organization
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the financial data warehouse using firm technologies (e.g. DataBricks, Snowflake).
- Collaborate with business to gather requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.
- Optimize ETL processes for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
- Bank experience is a plus
- Implement best practices for data governance, quality, and security within the data warehouse.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Create and maintain documentation for data architecture, processes, and workflows.
- Train and mentor team members on firm's database technologies and data warehousing best practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data technologies, particularly related to financial analytics.
Required Qualifications
- Subject Matter Expertise in financial data processing
- 10+ years with IT Financial systems (ERP, data warehouses, reporting)
- 10+ years experience with data warehouse technologies (e.g. SQL Server, DataBricks) with integrations with external applications and platforms
- Bachelor's in Computer Science/Engineering or similar field
- Preferred Master's degree
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling including ETL processes
- Experience in financial reporting, analytics, and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik)
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience working with medium to large banking firms
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data storage solutions
- Experience with APIs developed with programming languages (e.g. Java, Scala, Python)
The expected base salary is approximately $200k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
