Summary
The GSE Mechanic performs a variety of routine and complex maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and custom modifications to equipment in support of facility and maintenance department operations. Supports overall activities within the facilities and ground equipment operations. Communication with partner departments and team on project deliverable timelines.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job . While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is extremely active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing, and use of extremities all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Exposure to hangar environment with walking/traversing hazards. Must be able to hold valid DOT medical card.
Job Abilities:
Stationary Position - Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of the time while performing repairs and various tasks.
Move, traverse - Must be able to move about inside office, hangar and aircraft.
Operate, Activate, Use, Prepare, Inspect, Place, Detect, Position - Constantly making precisely coordinated movements with fingers and hands to manipulate or assemble objects.
Ascend/Descend, Work atop, Traverse - Frequently ascends/descends ladders, platforms and work stands. Working from height and underneath equipment.
Position self (to), Move - Constantly positions self to inspect, maintain and repair equipment.
Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - Must be able to frequently communicate and exchange accurate information.
Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess - Must be able detect objects at close range (within a few feet from the observer) and from a distance.
Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves tools and equipment up to 100 pounds.
Balancing - Must be able to manage equilibrium while traversing across office and hangar, ascending/descending ladders and working from scaffolding or raised platforms.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm but will vary as business needs and customer requirements dictate. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
Travel
This position will have significant travel within the local area to deliver/ collect equipment and parts. May require overnight travel to include last minute trips out of the area.

The pay range for this position in Washington state is $25.00-32.00 hourly; the hourly rate is influenced by a variety of factors including, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, and geographical locations. Employees will be eligible to enroll in the company's medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement plan with match contributions, company paid life & disability and financial wellness programs. Hired applicants will receive paid leave and may be eligible for bonuses. This information is provided per the WA State EPOA.
