Position Overview: Locke Solutions is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst - Developer Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship presents an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in data science and programming, particularly within the precast manufacturing sector. The selected candidate will collaborate with various internal departments, including sales, projects, production, and engineering, and contribute to real-world projects while developing valuable skills and expertise in precast design and production.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process from various sources, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data.Assist in creating clear and compelling visual representations of data using charts, graphs, and dashboards to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.Assist in utilizing statistical methods and analytical techniques to interpret data, identify trends, patterns, and relationships.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business problems, formulate hypotheses, and develop data-driven solutions.Utilize scripting languages (such as Python) to automate repetitive tasks and streamline the CAD drafting process.Assist in data management in Access database to ensure the accuracy of data.Assist in the development of custom tools and scripts to enhance the functionality of AllPlan for precast concrete design and manufacturing.Assist in technology related tasks such as developing and maintaining workflow automations, SharePoint sites, and custom apps.Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and training materials for programming tools and workflows.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Math, Statistics or a related field.Experience Microsoft Suite (Excel, Power Automate, SharePoint, Power Apps, Power BI, Access, Power Query).Experience in scripting languages such as Python, R, VBScript, JavaScript, and SQL.Understanding of relational and non-relational database management systems, data structures and algorithms, and object-oriented programming.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards tackling new challenges and acquiring new skills.
