Position Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process. This includes pulling orders from inventory, delivering production supplies, staging finished products for shipment, and maintaining an organized stock area. The role also involves operating material-handling equipment such as forklifts, performing routine equipment maintenance, and ensuring accurate inventory records. The Material Handler plays a key role in supporting production efficiency and ensuring the timely distribution of materials and products in a safe, organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage production and distribution of products by pulling orders, delivering materials, and staging finished products for shipment.
Maintain inventory by tracking materials, labeling, and reporting shortages.
Ensure orderly storage of materials and supplies; pull and verify items listed on production orders.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery for moving products.
Prepare finished stock for shipment by packing, crating, and loading products.
Perform routine inspections and basic repairs on material-handling equipment.
Keep inventory and work areas clean and organized.
Adhere to workplace safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in production or a related field.
Experience: 1 years in production and material handling.
Skills: Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery; strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift for up to 10 hours per day.
Work Environment:
Warehouse setting, non-climate-controlled, no travel required.
