The Gage and Fixture Design team is responsible for supporting Metrology and Quality Departments to develop, optimize and improve inspection process. We are searching for a student pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree to support the Gage and Fixture Design team. As an intern, you will perform various tasks supporting calibration activities (Gage Check-In process). Additional responsibilities include involvement in the design process of gages and fixtures for metrology operations, participate in Measurement System Analysis procedures (Gage R&R process) and Statistical Process Control studies (Minitab/QC CALC). The individual will also work within the requirements of their tasks to deliver results and communicate issues in a timely and accurate manner.

This internship will run from May 2025 - August 2025. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Ave Maria, FL facility.

Main Objective:

To support the Gage and Fixture Design/Metrology team with various projects and responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing basic gage and fixture design.
• Utilize Solidworks for related projects and activities.
• Agile training and related tasks.
• Assist with Gage R&R and MSA analysis.
• Aid in Gage check-in and calibration process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering required. Junior or above preferred.
  (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

• Basic Solidworks knowledge and skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Ability to read blueprints and basic GD&T knowledge.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
