About the Role
Provide support and guidance to manufacturing employees to produce product that meets customer demand.
Responsibilities
Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control. Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data to provide management with a better understanding for future manufacturing needs. Ensure that the companys manufacturing processes are in compliance with government laws and regulations. Review and calculate labor, material, and other production costs, along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements, to assist management in decision making. Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency. Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services. Ensure the manufacturers procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational. Develop capital equipment justifications for new equipment and process technology. Assist with project management of new equipment installations Coordinate and supervise activities of equipment and employees with a focus on Safety, Quality and Productivity. Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product. Execute additional tasks as needed
Experience
Technical degree or bachelors degree Experience in a custom fabrication manufacturing environment, preferred Understanding of quality and manufacturing tools (kanban, line balancing and pull flow) Knowledge of production engineering tools Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Physical Demands
Position requires approximately 40% sitting, 25% walking and 35% standing. The ability to reach with hands and arms is required. Also, the position requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken words. Position requires close vision at 20 inches or less and distance vision of 20 feet or more as well as the ability to judge distances and spatial relationships and to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis is required. This position works near moving mechanical parts. Position is exposed to loud noise.
