Summary of Position:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining electrical equipment.
Functions of the Position:
Performs technical and electrical repairs. Works on new
installations of power, lights, motors, transformers, control
panels, relays and electronic equipment. Repairs and maintains
systems and related equipment, utilizes hand and power tools
to facilitate the work. Utilize Express Maintenance (CMMS) to
document repairs and/or installations. 40% Essential
Assists in other building maintenance or repair activities as
needed. Completes assigned preventative maintenance and
provides feedback to Lead/Supervisor on needed parts and/or
material. 40% Essential
Reads and follows electrical schematics for high voltage, low
voltage and various control circuits. Moves, installs and adjusts
fixtures, motors and other electrical/mechanical equipment. 10% Essential
Works on special projects as needed. Assists in other building
maintenance or repair activities as needed 5% Essential
Preforms other duties as assigned. 5% Marginal
Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe
and quality food by following current good manufacturing practices,
allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/food fraud, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and
regulatory requirements.
Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls
necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to
management.
Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills, and
information within assigned team and across functional areas.
Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as
professional and leadership development.
Responsible for compliance with all safety policies and procedures established
for health and workplace safety.
Responsible for supporting safety culture by practicing safe work behaviors,
reporting potential hazards and conducting safety observations as assigned. Continually

Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
Two years of experience as a maintenance electrician.
Two years of experience in repair, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of electric circuits and control circuits.
Knowledge of CMMS software.
Knowledge of VFD's.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Forklift driver's certification preferred.
HACCP certification desired.
Electrical certification.
Skills and Competencies:
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Safe use of power and hand tools.
Plumbing and welding/joining skills.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
Job Specific Requirements:
This position is subject to mandatory overtime based on business needs.
In the event that the Maintenance Mechanic is absent, the Department Manager is responsible for providing an equally qualified person to cover this position.
