Alcohol Sales Manager Position Summary The Allied Brands Sales Manager is responsible for aligning with the brand team, retail sales, and field sales to ensure the execution of our selling strategy for key customers both in retail and on-premises accounts, across the entire G&J franchise territory. Successful candidates will manage key customer relationships that deliver against G&J strategic allied brands (alcohol and chilled juice) account plans, customer priorities, and expectations with a focus on revenue, market share, and volume growth. Essential Functions Deliver annual revenue, volume, profit & share plan for allied brands (alcohol and chilled juice) Work in collaboration with the brand team and retail to ensure execution of strategic plans at the field & account level. Perform ongoing analysis and review of business trends to identify gaps in plan and execution. Develop strategies to address gaps and facilitate Field Sales team execution in stores. Develop an annual promotion plan with the brand team while adhering to strategic guidelines and ensuring flawless execution through consistent customer engagement and buy-in Monitors and assesses competitive activity, market execution, and customer satisfaction Attend & facilitate regional management calls/meetings, identify customer needs/priorities and create fact-based selling presentations Ensure customer maintains a strategic product mix through SKU optimization -- both new item sell-in(s) and/or SKU reduction Work closely brand team, retail sales and field retail team to ensure strong communication& execution of programs Complete customer call reports on meetings with decision-makers/influencers Report out to the Director Brand, SVP Retail Sales & SVP Field Sales on the state of the business for respective customer territories on a bi-weekly cadence: execution-based successes/opportunities, competitive activity/threats, performance against strategy Build best-in-class customer relationships through category solutions, simplifying processes, excellent communication and detailed follow-up Effectively coach & develop store-level teams to deliver sales & execution metrics across alcohol brands and chilled juice Assist in handling communication and workflow to Field Teams to ensure that we are executing with excellence on all alcohol and chilled juice initiatives Solid understanding of financials including P&L impact of sales decisions, strong financial acumen. Support budget and annual operating plan development Sell racks, coolers display to improve internal and external profitability for alcohol and chilled juice Develop, sell, and execute local programs Education Level Bachelor's degree in business, sales or related field; or equivalent work experience Experience Minimum of 5+ years of retail sales experience, preferably in customer packaged goods and/or the alcohol industry Computer Skills Power Point, Word and Excel Certificates & Licenses Valid driver's license: employee must be insurable to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment Additional Requirements Willing and able to travel on a regular basis(estimated75%) in assigned territory. Occasional travel outside of G&J's territory. Authorization to work in the United States Knowledge of retail sales environment, financial management, beverage industry, standard selling practices. Skills with selling products and promotions, external customer service, training and coaching, budgeting for labor and other expenditures. Ability to develop, manage, lead and train a team, work efficiently and independently, multi-task, communicate effectively with customers and other employees both verbally and in writing, adapt to change, relate to and influence customers, employees and co-workers, develop and maintain good working relationships, problem solve, delegate, operate a computer, deliver presentations to employees and customers, read and interpret financial statements, data and other information.
