Assistant Wrestling Coach (Creative Design)
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Is responsible to the Head Coach and the Athletic Director for all aspects of the programAssist the HC in the creation and execution of practice plans daily from 3:30 pm - 5:45 pmAssist the HC at all contests, including travel across the state, some nights, and frequent weekends in-seasonTakes an active interest in developing professional knowledge of sport both in and out of season.Promotes respect by example through appearance, manners, behavior, language & conduct during practices and contestsRepresent and support Hargrave Military Academy on and off campus in a manner fitting with the mission of the schoolPromote positive sportsmanship from athletes both at practices and at contests, either at home or awayAttend required training and in-service meetings periodicallyAssisting with set-up and breakdown of equipment and fields for practices and games;Clean and dry all equipment and uniform within 24 hours;Participates in all pre and post season inventory work, as well as attending year-end award ceremonies;Other tasks designated by the Head Coach or Athletic Director.Maintains all required qualifications and certificationsEnforces all regulations of HMA as they pertain to practice, games, events (home or away) and other HMA functionsFollows rules and regulations set forth in both the Hargrave Coachs Handbook and Hargrave Employee HandbookOther tasks as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletics Director
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
May include, but not limited to, being able to perform the following functions: twisting; kneeling, sitting, standing, crouching, bending; reaching above head height; standing on raised platforms/ladders; and the potential of assisting in the carrying of others, for times no greater than 4 hoursMust be able to safely lift more than 50 poundsMust be able to read and write effectively with American English as the primary languageMust be able to verbally command and to hear commands effectively to respond to Hargrave employees and CadetsMust be comfortable working in varying degrees of seasonal weather from extreme heat and high humidity to snow and gusting winds

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS:
Prior coaching experience or participation in a specified sportStrong ability to communicate with our young menValid drivers license
