Business Analyst (remote) (Biotech)
Plan/Architecture - This team manages the overall enterprise architecture, identifies new technologies, and innovation. As solutions become hardened and part of the approved architecture, they are owned by the build organization
Build/Delivery - this team owns the entire productive technology landscape including application, infrastructure/security, and development. This team implements the technologies and is responsible for continuous improvement of all technologies
Run/Support - this team manages the daily support or running of the delivered technologies and includes applications and infrastructure/security
The Business Analyst is part of the Build/Delivery tower and is responsible for delivering advanced software solutions to the ACR companies. This role has strong knowledge of ACR's business processes and the systems that support them and utilizes this information to deliver IT solutions. This role requires deep subject matter expertise in systems and business. The Business Analyst serves as the sole point of contact for all functional business processes for their assigned business function area. The Business Analyst maintains an understanding of the key systemic processes, data flows, and technical underpinnings of the systems supporting their assigned business area. In addition to supporting the existing business processes, this position will be a key contributor in shaping the future business processes that run within a technology stack including cloud, digital transformation, and hybrid solutions. integrating systems of engagement, systems of record and systems of insight. The person in this position anticipates, researches, formally plans, and educates others on information technology trends of their assigned focus area. The Business Analyst works with their key business area leaders to understand the major initiatives and future plans of the respective departments and works to prepare IT support for those that will require it. This role works in tandem with a Solution Architect assigned to their same focus area. The Business Analyst and Solution Architect, together, identify the benefits and risks while effectively communicating the value and opportunity of varying processes and emerging technologies. The Business Analyst role is functional/techno and requires assigned business area expertise as well as knowledge of technologies - this role understands 'how systems think' and is responsible for systemic process soundness of all planned system designs within their business area's related system architecture.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1 - GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicates complex information in easily understandable ways
Understands business processes and constraints for assigned business functions
Leads users in road mapping, requirements definition, and solution delivery
Analyzes business problems and processes, develops alternative solutions and improvements and presents recommendations to project teams and business customers
Maintains awareness of business data, industry standards and regulatory requirements for assigned business areas
Complies with development, quality and operational standards and methodologies including SDLC
Executes and oversees the functional delivery of changes to existing system processes, custom development, integrations, data migration, and testing elements of implementations including specifications; assists the Solution Architect in the generation of technical documentation and is solely responsible for functional documentation supplied to developers; creation, execution, and oversight of test plans; and user training
Mentors and supports interns and departmental colleagues in their development

2 - PRODUCT MANAGEMENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drives the functional strategy and roadmap development for the product management tower in one or more of the following business areas:
Order-to-Cash
Supply Chain / Logistics
Commercial (Sales, Sales Ops, Marketing)
HR
Finance
Maintains proficiency in analytical skills and stays up to date in knowledge of ERP applications and development tools
Participates in project team meetings and follows project plans and project reporting requirements
Supports other integrated ERP bolt-on applications
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
5+ years business applications or related work experience required
Strong consultative customer engagement and influencing skills across functional groups.
Experienced with change management and process improvement skills .
SDLC and Agile software delivery methodologies (i.e. - Scrum) experience.
2+ years of business analysis or super-user experience with ERP systems in a distribution or manufacturing environment
Proficient in the functionality, development toolset, system architecture and system setups of ERP, Reporting Tools, and ERP bolt-ons
Comfortable on IBM iSeries AS400 and SQL server with strong SQL Knowledge
Ability to describe complex problems and solutions in simple or understandable terms
Demonstrates both strong analytic and big picture capabilities in problem solving approaches
Ability to consider upstream and downstream process impacts and implications
Ability to establish and manage priorities in a high change environment
Proven ability to execute swiftly without compromising quality
Demonstrates technical acumen, business acumen, strong communication skills and professional maturity in representing the department in business discussions
OTHER COMPETENCIES
Effective communication skills. Adept at oral communication, listening, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Inclination to share knowledge. Continually educate and update the ACR business functions and IT departments
Business Savviness. Ability to speak in business terms translating technical concepts into business terminology.

SKILL LEVEL ASSESSMENT
Performs works under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. May act as a lead or first-level supervisor. Requires a Bachelor's Degree and 5-8 years' experience.
