Tetra Tech - Whitehouse Station, NJ has a full-time remote field position available a s an Environmental Field Technician for Tetra Tech SWE, you will be responsible for collecting environmental samples, completing operations and maintenance (O&M) activities for environmental remediation systems, recording field measurements and data at landfills and industrial facilities, sampling and inspecting landfill gas and liquids collection and control systems, conducting specialized testing, and performing maintenance activities at our Client's facilities . The majority of these facilities are located in New York and New Jerse y.

* While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. * The employee will be subject to physical exertion and must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds on a non-consistent basis . Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
* The employee may work in the field for extended periods. The employee must be able to work in personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirator (on rare occasions) and must have physical clearance for PPE . *Ability to drive and operate a vehicle. An annual medical exam may be necessary based on the work assignment.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment may vary based on the assignment . Hearing protection may be necessary . Work may involve use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator (on rare occasions) .
Work will be conducted both in an outdoor field environment and on occasion in the office. Outdoor work will involve potential for exposure to various physical and chemical hazards of varying degree and type. This will include work under heat and cold stress and other adverse environmental conditions.
T his offer is contingent upon successful completion of the following:
Pay: $24-27 an hour and any overtime (for work above 40 hours in a week) will be at the 1.5 Overtime Rate, commensurate with skill level, geography region and experience.
