The Research Assistant is utilized in preclinical laboratory work activities related to the preparation of tissue samples, applying ultrasound treatment to tissue samples, and cutting of ex vivo tissue samples for the assessment of the output efficacy of medical devices. This individual will be involved in planning and executing statistically driven experiments to determine biological effects of ultrasound through bench top synthetic materials and ex vivo tissue studies. This position requires mechanical aptitude, visual inspection, use of microscopes, documentation and recording of data as well as some quality assurance sampling, testing, and measuring skills using various precise measuring equipment.
