Cloud Engineer (Information Technology)
The Cloud Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions. This role requires expertise in cloud platforms, specifically Azure, and a strong understanding of cloud architecture. He/she will work closely with his/her Director to understand business objectives and strategy and will then focus on solution and platform delivery and optimization. Additionally, the Cloud Engineer will work in service of other teams to provide technical guidance on cloud-related projects, perform any necessary cloud-related tasks, and serve as the escalation point, providing technical support and troubleshooting, for any Tier III cloud-related support issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate and configure cloud services with existing systemsAssess the performance, security, and scalability of existing cloud systems and identify areas for enhancementMonitor system health, track performance metrics, perform root cause analysis, and promptly address any issuesPartner with team members and other cross-functional teams to deliver new cloud solutionsIdentify areas to modify and improve existing systems, such as optimizing resource utilization or implementing automation solutionsProvide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for cloud-related issuesEnsure security and compliance of cloud solutions.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and cross-functional teamsKnowledge of best practices for cloud technologies, preferably AzureExperience designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions using platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years of experience with cloud engineering in an enterprise environmentFamiliarity with both Waterfall and Agile processes and methodologies.
