Quality Manager (Project Management)
What you will do
Directs Plant Quality Assurance efforts with emphasis on identification and solution of process, material or labor problems that could compromise plant and division quality commitments. Trains staff and applies analytical and statistical analyses to achieve required quality results. Provide customer and supplier contacts relating to quality performance of a technical nature.
How you will do it
Accountable for Plant Quality Control Systems to insure that controls are functioning in the areas of process, purchased material and final product quality to maintain internal and external quality costs while ensuring customer expectations are met.
Manages Quality Assurance Systems to include the maintenance of warranty data, in-plant scrap data, compliance data, SNR's, customer concerns, etc.
Provide customer responses as per customer expectations.
Facilitate and Support problem solving on preventative/corrective action for resolution of issues or concerns related to quality.
Contact customers or suppliers regarding resolution of quality or product liability problems of a technical nature (includes customers and supplier visits).
Accountable for disposition of defective materials and manage the QOS system management.
Performs special studies and analyses at the request of plant or division management.
Preparation and submission of PPAP documentation to customer as needed.
Drives Cost of Quality improvements. Project management in areas involving Quality.
Submits required monthly reports to Milwaukee. (QOS, Environmental, Purchasing)
What we look for
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical field.
5+ years of QA management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in IATF, PPAP, SPC and other quality standards. Experience in IATF standards and facilitating continuous improvement using formal quality methodology and tools.
Preferred
Knowledgeable in program launch processes and CSR.
Statistics background, Minitab a plus.
Proficient in Excel, Power point, Program Manager.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a QA Team within a manufacturing environment; automotive preferred.

Geneva, Illinois is home to a fully integrated plant that manufactures batteries used in the automotive and marine industries. As a fully integrated plant, we also decorate our batteries into the final product for our customers. We have been in Geneva since 1960, and today we are one of the largest employers in town with 265 people. We operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and give back through The Salvation Army.
