Guard - Morning/Day (Creative Design)
Maintain security of premises by conducting inside and outside patrols of the secure facility
Maintain a professional appearance, uniform and manner at all times
Coordinate with police, fire and emergency medical personnel when necessary
Provide customer service by making sure doors are secure and vehicles display proper permits
Make sure any trespasses or crimes are reported to the local police authorities
Complete daily activity log and monitor camera system
Monitor areas for safety hazards including theft and vandalism
Availability to work overtime when required
Other duties as assigned by Manager
Dispatch Responsibilities
Receive emergency and non-emergency calls via telephone and radio systems from guests, security, and other departments, evaluate information received; prioritize calls; dispatch required units and/or forward information or calls to appropriate departments; and monitor surveillance systems.
Utilize technology such as computers, radio systems, telephones, and other communications equipment.
Create and maintain automated or manual logs for the Guest Services/Security communications activity.
Access and enter sensitive data into databases as necessary for investigative purposes; enter and maintain files for property pending recovery or storage.
Maintain office appearance in a manner suitable for daily operations.
Monitor, review, and pull footage from the CCTV system.
Maintain appropriate security and confidentiality of information created or encountered in the performance of assigned duties.
Keep informed of departmental regulations, policies, and procedures.
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training
Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area
Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately
Technical and Physical Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous security experience preferred
Ability to stand, walk and/or sit, lift up to 25lbs and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property
Must have a valid Drivers' License
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Demonstrated ability to work independently with a team and be a self-starter and self-motivated.
Proficient computer skills are preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be comfortable speaking one-on-one with a wide variety of guests and employees.
Proven ability to multi-task and to remain calm and composed in high stress situations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion, work individually or with others, and adapt to changing circumstances
