Roofing Service Manager (Construction)
Rice Companies is looking for a Roofing Service Manager to join the team at our Sauk Rapids, MN, location. The Roofing Service Manager collaborates with the Director of Service, Management, Engineers, Architects, and Clients to determine the scope and specifications of the project. They review potential projects, prepare proposals, mentor and self-perform building repairs as needed, negotiate contracts with subcontractors to reach profitable agreements. This multifaceted position focuses on meeting and exceeding customer needs and expectations by adhering to financial projections, scheduling requirements, and ensuring that projects are completed to Rice Companies quality standards in a profitable and safe manner.
Position Responsibilities:
Ability to generate approved projects through networking, sales calls, and leads providedAbility to accurately measure roofs to include roof size, pitch, height and all other existing conditions requiredWorks with subcontractors/suppliers to supply bids for services and materialsProvides contracts for all work and services requiredPrepares accurate roofing estimates, obtains all necessary contracts/permits, materials, and equipment requiredCommunicates with clients on project schedules, reviewing potential impacts to business that may be presentCollaborates with Managers, Engineers, and Design staff to review existing conditions for roofing improvements requiredCommunicates with Lead Roofing Foreman on project scheduling, progress of projects, and material and equipment schedulesAssists Human Resources and Management with hiring, employee reviews and feedbackPrepares accurate final invoicing for clients to include all Contracts and Purchase Orders required
Additional Responsibilities:
Primary point of contact for all roofing clientsWork outdoors in a variety of weather conditionsMay also assist with self-performing projects as neededAssisting with transportation of equipment and materials to and from the jobsiteSafety planning & maintain OSHA requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in commercial roofing as a Foreman or SuperintendentStrong communication skills with the ability to communicate in a professional manor with business owners and leadersComfortable in business related social settingsExperience reading and interpreting blueprints a plusEquipment experience: scissor lift, forklift, boom lift, and skid steer - certifications are a plus.Confidence to work at heights in a safe manorDetailed orientated, excellent organizational skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite
