JOB SUMMARY
The Network Manager provides team leadership and technical guidance for network projects, support, and initiatives. They cover all aspects of Medline's network covering datacenters, edge, and cloud. The role will collaborate with vendors, staff, and peer organizations to ensure the stability and integrity of Medline's infrastructure. The position requires a solution minded person with experience in the design, configuration, management, and deployment of large enterprise networks. Additionally, this position will provide leadership to advance technical capabilities and achieve the highest level of efficiency.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a team responsible to configure, deploy, and maintain networking solutions of Medline's LAN, WAN, WLAN, SDWAN, and Cloud focused infrastructure.
Agile ownership mindset to manage projects and/or product teams in network, cloud, automation, AI, etc.
Create and maintain reports on network metrics, KPIs, SLAs, ensure high performance and maximum availability.
Analyze performance data and metrics, identify problem areas, and provide actionable insight to problem resolution in addition to driving reductions in incidents and events, striving for preemptive and preventative actions.
Maintain consistent communications with department, director, and peer managers with emphasized diligence during Priority 1 and 2 incidents.
Work within cross-team departments to provide network services, prioritize tasks and respond to customer needs.
Participate in and ensure compliance with Medline's ITSM including the Change and Problem Management process.
Oversee and drive research and development for modern technologies and implement automation for repeatable processes.
Prepare and maintain documentation and accurate inventory of network infrastructure, including, SOPs, diagrams, and configuration information.
Assist with vendor management, service and support contacts, team budgeting, annual forecasting, and 3–5-year forecasting.
Accountable for team engagement, performance including performance reviews.
Understand that assisting to resolve issues outside our area is also our responsibility.
Own and drive issues through closure; engage all appropriate cross-team resources.
Establish, maintain, and manage key vendor relationships. Optimize cost efficiency through strategic sourcing and procurement decisions.
Partner with NOC (Network Operations Center) and IT teams to ensure enterprise optimal network performance and availability.
Set annual and quarterly team and personal challenging goals that align with Medline's executive strategies.
Participate in managing off-hours support and projects.
Collaborate with global teams on projects, standardization, support, change management, and coverage.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology (or related field), or equivalent in training and experience.
Technical certifications desirable (Cisco, Azure, ITIL, PMP, etc.).
Work Experience
10+ years in technology with a minimum of 2 years in leadership roles, must have experience leading technical teams.
Experience working in multifaceted, high-paced environment.
Experience working with global and offshore resources a plus.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Working knowledge of networks (Cisco), Cloud (Microsoft Azure), and load balancers (F5, Azure, Nginx).
Excellent comprehension of IP network and routing fundamentals with experience in Cisco and Microsoft Azure environments.
Datacenter landscape knowledge, including overall IT systems, DMZs, L1-L4, and Cloud.
Knowledge of Industry best practices pertaining to infrastructure design and management.
Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to collaborate with internal and external business/technical teams.
Communications: Excellent interpersonal, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communication skills tailored for the intended audience.
Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence a plus.
Ability to work out of any of our Chicagoland area facilities on any given day.
Up to 5% travel required.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$115,440.00 - $173,160.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
