Customer Service Estimator (Administrative)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer inquiries professionally and assist them with product questions, quotes, ordering, and order tracking and resolve issues in a prompt manner
• Utilize architectural drawings and specifications, shop drawings, take-offs, or material lists to provide detailed estimates to customers promptly. 
• Assist, provide guidance and coordination to our customers related to product selection
• Coordinate with other departments to insure timely and accurate order completion and delivery
• Review inventory requirements and stock levels necessary to support orders and place purchase orders for material when necessary to support production
• Following all work and safety rules
• Any other functions assigned or deemed necessary by management

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements:

 

To be considered for the Customer Service Estimator position, the following conditions must be met:

• A minimum of 1 year of previous customer service experience
• Strong organizational and listening skills
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment to meet required deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively and conduct themselves professionally, with excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to read and perform mathematical calculations and write measurements in number fractions at a high school education level
• Ability to read, interpret and understand drawings and specifications
• Computer experience and accuracy in numeric typing
• Previous customer service experience in the glass/metal industry preferred
• Ability to follow established policies and procedures
