The Buyer/Planner will use a variety of tools, assesses requirements, inventory and demand coverage levels and procures technical and non-technical materials and services to support fleet requirement consistently with military, customer and company specifications and quality levels at the most advantageous prices. Sends request for quotes to suppliers, creating purchase orders and acting as a liaison between the product supplier and Columbia Helicopter's Quality and Engineering departments. Develops and implements new and existing procurement strategies to balance inventories, supply and demand and the needs of other departments.
