Senior Cloud Solutions Architect (Information Technology)
The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is looking for a Sr. Cloud Solutions Architect to join the Enterprise Architecture Team. We empower the Federal Reserve business technology landscape by guiding development and management of solutions with cloud-centric strategic architecture. Responsibilities:
Responsible for design and analysis for architecture implementation across a group of applications/technologies based on enterprise business strategy; build and migrate applications, software and services onto the AWS platform
Partner with architecture and Information Technology Services leadership and peers to help identify business needs and shape IT vision by offering appropriate strategic and tactical technical solutions along with a transition roadmap.
Define strategic direction in terms of the technologies, standards, processes, and current/target state cloud architectures.
Work across technology, organization, and business to outline large transformation programs and work with program leads and business lines to deliver on them.
Partner with other Enterprise, Platform, Security, Data, and Infrastructure Architects to deliver best in class solutions.
Demonstrate leadership and agility when responding to change or when working with ambiguity.
Help the organization integrate architecture design patterns, system standards, and security measures.
Collaborate, code alongside, and guide Software Engineers to implement standard methodologies and support their personal growth and development.
Review detailed designs and collaborate with the delivery team for best solutions. Drive decisions by following applicable frameworks, patterns, and standards and ensuring that a shared technical and architectural vision is realized.
Apply business and technical skills to rapidly design well-architected solutions that help system strategy and customers accelerate their adoption of AWS cloud.
Build deep relationships with decision makers within customer/service line accounts to be “Cloud advocates”
Understand emerging technology trends (GenAI, serverless, Integrated DevOps) and their practical applications to enable evolving business and operating models
Solve complex problems and resolve technological disagreements; establish stature as architect-on-point for specific functions/business services lines.
Qualifications:
Large-scale systems integration involving on-premises technology and public cloud platforms with experience architecting and deploying production cloud workloads on AWS
Enterprise Architecture experience, certifications, and building modern cloud strategies
8+ years of technical depth in software development, cloud-native, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics
Builder's experience architecting, migrating, redefining or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications
Bachelor's degree specializing in a related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.
In-depth knowledge of current technology, industry standards and frameworks, information management & emerging technology trends and industry developments.
Advanced level knowledge and recent experience coding in multiple programming languages (Java, Python, etc.)
Experience developing reference architecture, principles, and standards.
Experience with the following is preferred:
AWS Well Architected Framework, services and security standard methodologies
Cloud networking across numerous accounts, environments, and vendors, and zero trust principles
Containerization; CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tooling
Integrations / API infrastructure and development, and associated tools and standard methodologies
Experience with centralized application observability and monitoring across disparate tools and services
Must be a U.S Citizen or a Green Card holder with intent to become a U.S Citizen
Base Salary Range Sr. Cloud Solution Architect: Min: $138,900 - Mid: $180,400 - Max: $221,900 (Location: San Francisco)
Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
