Required
B.A. Degree in psychology, sociology, counseling, child development, or related field. A minimum of one (1) year experience in a child welfare, probation, or behavioral health setting. Bilingual (Spanish/English) able to read, write and speak English and Spanish proficiently. Demonstrated understanding of the developmental milestones of children, youth, or young adults. Demonstrated understanding of child welfare systems. Demonstrated ability to assess, triage and organize work. Theoretical understanding or experience in behavioral approaches to treatment. Demonstrated ability to utilize de-escalation techniques that align with the trauma informed care model. Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families and communities. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally. Clean driving record; current CA drivers license or ability to obtain within 10 days after hire. Basic computer competence with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records.
Preferred
Two (2) years experience in a child welfare, probation, or behavioral health setting. Knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis principles.
