Position Summary:
The Director of Compliance will be responsible for ensuring that all Standard Wellness licenses and all Standard Wellness employees are perpetually operating and functioning within all applicable state regulations. This includes day to day operations as well as annual recertifications, employee badges, SOP adherence, product packaging and labeling, and inspections with the state.
Essential Job Functions:
Fully understand and implement all state regulations, including modifications as regulations change/update
Responsible for interpreting, supporting, and executing policies and compliance procedures within all facilities
Directs all programs, policies, and practices to ensure all business units are in compliance with operational and reporting requirements
Lead the charge for compliance within the building on a daily basis
Responsible for the oversight of weekly, monthly, and annual reports, documents, and other such data- both for internal and Department purposes
Develop and maintain a compliance calendar
Oversee the submission and approval of all marketing, packaging, and labeling materials with the appropriate department
Keep up to date with the new regulatory requirements and ensure communication of best practices/new rules to appropriate staff
Build and maintain a comprehensive, multi-state, compliance program
Qualifications:
Required:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
Must be able to pass all background check and licensing requirements as set forth by the Department of Commerce
Bachelors degree in a relevant field, no recent graduates
7 - 10 years experience in a compliance, managerial role
Experience with regulatory bodies
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodation
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Preferred:
Law degree preferred
