School Partnerships Manager (Personal Services)
General Statement:
The Fleet Science Center's School Partnerships Manager supports the Fleet Mission Statement and Education Philosophy by strengthening and deepening our relationships with local school districts, aiming to become a vital educational resource for the community. This manager spends most of their time communicating with school district-level decision-makers through in-person visits, phone, email, and video calls to secure paid contracts for services. This position will also be responsible for collaborating with School Programs staff for the customization of off-site and on-site school education offerings. This position will also collaborate with other departments to achieve mission goals and objectives and foster collegial support and positive morale.
The selected candidate must be available to work evenings and weekends as required.
Reports to: Director of Education & Community Partnerships
Primary Duties and Responsibilities, including mental requirements of the position:
lease note final applicants may be tested on their Microsoft Office computer skills and may be asked to demonstrate writing, proofreading and mathematical skills.
Tools and equipment used to perform this position: computer, telephone, outreach program equipment, classroom equipment.
Supervision, direction, or guidance provided for this position: Performs duties with minimal supervision. Supervision required to discuss non-routine questions or concerns.
