QMS Engineer (Project Management)
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Quality Management Systems (QMS) Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this fast-paced and ever-evolving environment, the ideal candidate must be a problem-solver, go-getter, and someone who takes the initiative to drive continuous improvement across all quality processes. The QMS Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and compliance of quality systems, with specific oversight over the Calibration and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) departments, while anticipating and resolving issues before they arise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement & Maintain QMS: Design, develop, and maintain quality management systems in alignment with industry standards (ISO 9001, etc.), ensuring regulatory compliance and company objectives are consistently met.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Identify, analyze, and resolve quality-related issues through root cause analysis. Develop actionable solutions that mitigate risks and prevent recurrence of issues.
- Calibration Management: Oversee and manage the Calibration Department, ensuring all measurement and test equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and compliant with regulatory and company standards, with an understanding of electronics to manage technical equipment calibration.
- ESD Oversight: Lead the Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Department, ensuring that all ESD-controlled areas are properly maintained, ESD training programs are in place, and compliance is strictly followed to safeguard sensitive electronic equipment.
- Track & Report Corrective Actions: Take ownership of tracking and reporting all corrective actions resulting from quality issues, audits, or customer feedback. Ensure corrective actions are implemented on time and effectively address the root cause.
- Auditing & Reporting: Conduct internal audits for QMS, calibration processes, and ESD procedures, assess compliance with established standards, and create detailed reports to document findings, ensuring timely corrective actions are implemented.
- Training & Support: Provide guidance and training on quality processes, calibration procedures, ESD protocols, and corrective action management to cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of quality across the organization.
- Fast-Paced Adaptability: Quickly adapt to changes in project scope, requirements, and timelines. Manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all quality-related documentation is meticulously maintained, up-to-date, and easily accessible for audits and certifications
EDUCATION AND MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Electronics, or a related field.
- Two years minimum experience in Quality Management Systems, including experience in calibration, ESD management, corrective action tracking, and electronics, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and taking ownership of projects.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations while maintaining a strong focus on quality and compliance
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
