Summary of Position: We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Grounds Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and experience in various residential and commercial landscaping and maintenance tasks. Duties & Responsibilities: Perform general landscaping duties such as mowing, edging, and trimming shrubs and trees. Blow leaves, pick up debris, and remove weeds. Install and remove gravel, perform hardscape tasks, and handle shrub installations and removals. Operate power and hand tools including power mowers, chainsaws, pole saws, blowers, weed eaters, chippers, and hedge trimmers. Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose irrigation issues and assist in building new irrigation systems as needed. Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, weeding, mulching, and general clean-up. Apply pesticides and herbicides for pest and plant disease control. Assist with designing maintenance and operations systems. Report equipment failures for repair and maintain adherence to all OSHA standards. Drive company vehicles to and around work sites, as needed Perform skilled and unskilled maintenance work, often involving strenuous tasks under adverse climatic conditions. Monitor and maintain inventory and supplies. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers and maintain positive professional working relationships. Qualifications/Personal Attributes: Minimum 2 years of Commercial and Residential experience is required Bilingual is a plus Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, and kneel for extended periods. Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, such as excessive heat. Comfortable working around various plants and landscaping materials. Must be able to start as early as 5:00 AM. Ability to anticipate needs based on verbal or non-verbal clues Experience driving a work truck and trailer is a plus. Valid Arizona Driver's License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record for the past 3 years. Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions. Knowledge of applicable vehicle and equipment operation standards, safety principles/practices, and occupational hazards.
