Therapy Program Director (Healthcare)
Westminster Suncoast, a beautiful active living retirement community located in St. Petersburg is currently seeking a full-time Therapy Program Director. Westminster offers a generous compensation and benefit package, including PTO, company paid Life insurance.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Supervises therapy staff including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech/Language Pathologists, Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, Speech/Language Pathology Assistants, Rehab Techs and Aides.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the daily administration, clinical planning, development, marketing and operations of the Rehab Program within the facility.
Manages and directs the therapy staff in the provision of program services to patients and residents. Assures rehab department meets clinical,
budgetary, utilization and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster and its communities.
1. Supervises the staff which involves direct and indirect responsibilities for interviewing, selection, training, motivating, wage and salary administration, performance appraisal, managing policies and procedures to ensure achievement of the department's goals.
2. Responsible for the strategic planning and operations of the department by implementing cost control measures and meeting budget goals.
3. Monitor Medicare to ensure criteria is being met in order to charge-back services. Ensure correct billing practices are in place to maintain & meet “profit center” goals for the department.
4. Participates in Care Plan, Quality Assurance, Risk and Stand-up meetings at the community.
5. Oversee scheduling of treatments and maintain productivity requirements.
6. Audit and verify compliance therapy documentation.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree, as required for initial professional preparation, in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology or other clinical professional services preferred. Current licensure by the Board of Allied Professions required. Current membership in professional organizations at the state and national level preferred. Associates Degree from an APTA, or AOTA accredited program.
Licensed or eligible for licensure in states that regulate the Physical Therapist Assistant, or Occupational Therapy Assistant.
AND,
Three to five years of clinical experience required; one to two years of supervisory experience with multi-disciplines preferred. Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
