Job Summary:
NextGen Crew Leaders will work with the Volunteer Services Program Manager and the NextGenServe Program Coordinator to implement the City's summer teen volunteer club, NextGenServe. NextGenServe is a teen volunteer service club that teaches job skills and career exploration while volunteering around the City. Crew Leaders will lead groups of teens enrolled in NextGenServe, providing a fun environment, while also serving as mentors and ensuring safety. Crew Leaders need to be available Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am to 1 pm. The position will run mid-May to mid-August.

Mason Street, 2nd floor, HR DepartmentVarious locations around the CityTime Commitment and Availability: May 15 - August 10Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 1:00 pm16-20 hours per weekPrimary Activities:Coordinate event logistics.Work collaboratively with other staff, interns, teens, and Program Coordinator.Serve as a Crew Leader for 10-15 teens on volunteer projects.Drive City vans to projects (15 passenger).Lead team-building activitiesExpectations Excellent customer service skills included the ability to precisely articulate complex information to others in an ethical and respectful manner.Excellent public relations and communication skills including the ability to interact and work effectively and courteously with people from varying social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Experience working with youth.
