Security & Facilities Team Leader (Information Technology)
As the Security & Facilities Team Leader, you will be responsible for contributing to and executing the physical security and facilities departmental strategic plans. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations related to the management and maintenance of the Credit Union's owned and leased facilities, vehicles, furniture, equipment, and facility/maintenance vendors. Position serves as back-up for Manager Security & Facilities duties and assists by being the first point of contact for facilities staff, as well as departmental requests for physical security and facility needs, such as access control, pulling security camera footage and incident reporting. You will provide support, leadership, and coaching to Facilities staff.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Aid in oversight of daily operations and budget related to facilities management and maintenance of the Credit Union's owned and leased facilities, vehicles, furniture, equipment, and facility/maintenance vendors. Accountable for working in partnership with the facility /maintenance vendors and internal departments on construction projects, equipment maintenance, facility and space usage, furniture, and design. Is first point of contact for everyday facility needs and is an on-call contact for after-hours facilities emergencies or needs. Provides coverage of Courier and Maintenance Coordinator duties as needed. Assists in research pertaining to market expansion, preparing budget or other facility related projects. Escalates risk or facility concerns to leadership. Reviews and approves invoices and purchases.
- Aid in security oversight and promoting an environment of safety and security for employees, volunteers, members, and the general public. Accountable for executing physical security strategies. Assists in establishing risk assessments, policies, procedures, controls, and action plans to manage physical security risks. Investigate and file insurance claims for physical security incidents, identify emerging risks and advise and report to management on a consistent basis. Assist in the development, coordination, and facilitation of security training. Accountable for researching and responding to security related requests from staff and various departments. Assist in research pertaining to security related equipment or projects. Serve as backup Incident Response Coordinator and backup to security officer.
- Assist leadership in the interviewing and hiring process to include sitting in interviews with new candidates and providing valuable feedback when needed. Identify training needs of new and current junior level staff. Assist with planning, assigning, and directing work for junior level staff. Provide junior level performance feedback to leadership on a monthly basis as well as during annual performance reviews. Assist with the content, coordination, and conducting team meetings.
- Assist in oversight of security and facility third-party service providers, responsible for engaging with vendors on a regular basis to perform ongoing vendor due diligence and monitoring service level agreements and vendor performance. Aid in maintaining inventory of security and facilities equipment to forecast for future replacement needs. Make recommendations and escalates issues to leadership as needed.
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experience
7+ years' experience related to facilities, or physical security/safety, preferably in the finance industry.
Education / Certifications / Licenses
This level of knowledge is acquired through completion of a required Associates degree in criminal justice or business management. (Will consider additional years of experience in lieu of education requirement). Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
