Responsible for management and facility enrollment of all new facilities into the Rebate Program
Auditing all pharmacy invoices monthly:
Identifying medications not per contract
Monitoring for pharmacy excessive med filling.
Communicating price discrepancy audit results to the pharmacy; tracking credits given to the facilities based on audits.
Producing quarterly reports showing credits requested and received.
Coaching facilities regarding medication management to improve pharmacy spend for facilities.
Reviewing/analyzing all proposed pharmacy contracts, to assist administrators to negotiate more favorable contract terms. Assist in negotiations if requested by Regional or facility Administrator.
Implement cost management saving strategies to reduce pharmacy costs, operational expense, and minimize spend without compromising quality care or service.
Newsletter to all Administrators monthly highlight one area of pharmacy management to improve cost management as well as patient outcomes monthly.
Act as a resource for consulting and education services to facility staff to maximize pharmacy inclusions and services.
Provide operational solutions and strategic initiatives to minimize waste and drug destruction.
Identify ways to Improve cost containment strategies for facilities.
Facilitate communications and transparency between pharmacy and facility.
Use data analytics to provide risk assessments, prescriber habits, and improve medication order efficiencies.
