ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reconcile and maintenance of the General Ledger.
Backup and support AP process and reconciliation as needed in conjunction with the staff accountant (AP Clerk).
Backup and support Reconciliation Auditor in their daily activities.
Oversee NSF & Bad checks.
Coding of miscellaneous deposits.
Prepare ad hoc reporting as necessary.
Maintain current status on sales tax accounts and complete monthly sales tax filing.
Perform Chart of Account and report maintenance.
Participate in the maintenance and GL/Tax updates in Point-of-Sale systems related to product and operational updates.
Communicate regularly with leadership team/managers to ensure correct processes are being followed and completed effectively and efficiently by staff.
Maintain and enhance a guest focused culture in all areas of responsibility.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:
Protect the safety of self-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests.
Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resort's Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.
Operate equipment safely so that it will not lead to injury to yourself or others.
Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position oversees 2 employees in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
WORK SCHEDULE
Due to the nature of the recreation industry, we are in operation seven days a week. This includes weekends and holidays and there is no guarantee of hours. Flexible working hours may be required based on the business levels.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree, (B.S.), in a business-related field preferred.
Two to four years related experience.
A combination of education and work experience may fulfill the above two requirements.
Experience in the ski resort industry is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
Experience with Microsoft Business Central, RTP, Agilysys, Versa software a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply mathematical concepts in practical operations such as; statistical analysis and creating spreadsheets.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, members of management, and other employees of the organization. Excellent verbal communication skills.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions.
