Overnight Supervisor (Finance)
Our warehouse Supervisor team oversees the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that goods are stored, handled, and dispatched efficiently. They are responsible for leading and motivating a fast-paced team, optimizing processes, maintaining safety standards, ensuring inventory accuracy, and utilizing WMS systems for reporting and order management. This role involves coordinating with other departments, overseeing receiving activities, and implementing strategies for inventory control. Warehouse Supervisors also ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements. Our supply chain at UNFI is focused on providing superior service, quality and efficiency, improving every day to meet customers' unique needs.
Work Environment:
• Onsite Role, this position requires all duties to be performed at our UNFI location.
• Part of the workday will be moving about the Distribution center warehouse floor and potential hazards exist in regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc.
• Temperatures in the warehouse may vary between -20 to 70 degrees. Noise levels in all areas are within acceptable tolerance ranges for those specific work areas.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Supervises Warehouse shipping and receiving activities and associates for a specific shift/area to ensure functions are performed within Company and Distribution Center guidelines. Provides excellent customer service to stores serviced through accurate handling of inbound and outbound product.
Job Responsibilities:
• Schedules and supervises receiving associates.
• Controls production standards, accuracy of receiving using proper accuracy programs and systems.
• Possess strong general knowledge of all warehousing operations, with prior work experience to include lead person or supervisory duties, preferably with the Company.
• Possess good supervisory skills and the ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results.
• Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read and interpret computerized reports.
• Requires the analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities.
• Possess the ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions.
• Basic computer skills are required and personal computer experience helpful, with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Good Judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
