Career Navigator - Part Time (Personal Services)
Do you enjoy coaching, and would you like to help others develop plans for their career goals? If so, Goodwill of the Heartland is the place for you. We are looking to hire a part time Career Navigator at our Iowa City office and is based in Iowa County who is excited to fulfill Goodwill's mission.
Career Navigators serve as the program manager for participants assigned to a caseload, completing intakes, assessments, and other required documentation, to identify appropriate assessment and training tools to assist participants. This position will develop a comprehensive career plan, as well as administer interest and skill-based assessments to participants as needed. Career Navigators support and guide participants to achieve the steps in their plan and ultimately gain employment in their targeted career, and will provide access to job shadows, internships, and other activities that will help meet career goals. This position works with external funders to provide services in accordance with their funding, completing necessary reports and service records as required.
Qualifications:
The Career Navigator position has a starting wage of $19.86 per hour. The schedule for this position will vary depending on program participants needs and could include day, evening, and weekend shifts. You could be scheduled up to approximately 29 hours a week but there is no minimum guarantee of hours each week.
