Manager, Family Child Care Counselors (Personal Services)
Participate in hiring, orientation, and training of new staff.
Assess employee development needs and help support individual staff in developing a professional development plan that meets business needs.
Collaborate with staff to establish goals, objectives and timelines that align with agency goals.
Works in partnership with the Associate Director, Providers, Program Operations & Fiscal Compliance to create solutions and resolve issues.
Collaborates with other managers on special projects and can work together as a team.
Build and strengthen company culture in alignment with company values and goals.
Develop, provide, and manage training and materials as needed.
Enroll families into the Alternative Payment Programs in accordance with the CA Department of Social Services guidelines, i.e., Title V regulations/Funding Terms and Conditions.
Conduct self-audit and employee audits on family files.
Develop tracking systems and continue to evaluate effectiveness and modify as needed.
Analyze, develop, and implement new processes based on results and that align with agency goals.
Support the agency with compliance in federal, state and local regulations by communicating, creating and maintaining systems.
Develop, propose, and create policies, forms and procedures to maintain compliance with regulations and train staff on them.
Accurately process provider payments in a timely manner.
Ensure providers are paid within the market rates for the population served.
Maintain family and/or provider files and keep information current.
Provide high quality internal and external customer service and contribute to a strong customer service culture.
Identify best practices and organizational efficiencies as well as coach and train how to apply policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
BA degree, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
Knowledge of local, regional and state organizations and subsidy regulations.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, judgment, and influencing skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare clear and concise reports and deliver formal presentations or training.
Demonstrates management capabilities and experience in coaching and mentoring.
Strong desire to help others and provide exceptional customer service.
Ability to create and maintain strong, professional relationships at various levels of organization.
Proven experience in driving continuous improvement to build inclusive, fun and engaging culture.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Collaborates and can work well with others.
Works on teams or with other managers on special projects.
