Provide support for the Quality Department to assure all Customer contract requirements are fulfilled and assist with the administration of the Quality Management System. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide support for review of new product inquiries to assure all contract requirements are identified and being addressed, including review of material processing requirements and verification of inspection capabilities. Investigate and process Non-Conforming Material reports for discrepancies on in-house parts, vendor parts, and Customer returns. Provide support to Manufacturing and Engineering for process improvements. Perform internal audits and follow-up of corrective actions. Handle a variety of responsibilities to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements as well as other Quality System requirements imposed by Customers and company policy. Perform visual/dimensional inspection. Prepare and submit First Article Inspection Reports for Customers and any other Production Part Approval Process needed documentation. Conduct evaluations and report generation for all weld and braze qualifications. Assist the Director of Quality on a variety of other business tasks that may arise. Develop, apply, revise and maintain quality standards for product and equipment, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment. Maintain business practicality in all quality decisions, recognizing that all decisions impact the company's profits. Coordinate and cooperate with other Senior Managers and Alloy Precision Technologies (APT) personnel in a supportive, positive team effort both at APT and with customers, vendors, and the outside world. Attitudes and approaches to all personnel and customers are to be positive, business-like, and results-oriented. Perform described duties to meet or exceed Customer, AS9100/ISO9001 and regulatory requirements. Program and maintain inspection equipment. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
