Mechanical Designer (Finance)

We are currently seeking a talented Mechanical Designer/Machinist who will play a critical role in designing, prototyping, and machining mechanical components for our cutting-edge products and systems.   • Compensation: $95,000 - $105,000 per year (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data)
  • In addition to a salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based upon company performance.

What You Will Do:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software, ensuring manufacturability and functionality.
  • Operate and maintain CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other machining tools to fabricate parts with precision and quality.
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to refine designs and resolve technical challenges.
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tolerances to produce high-quality parts.
  • Perform quality checks on fabricated components, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.
  • Create detailed technical documentation, including design reports, assembly instructions, and machine setup sheets.
  • Maintain and calibrate machining equipment to ensure consistent performance and safety.
  • Contribute to product development and innovation through problem-solving and creative design solutions.
What You Will Bring:
  • Associate degree or certification in Mechanical Design, Machining, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design and machining.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and CAM software.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machining, manual machining, and machine programming.
  • Strong understanding of materials, machining processes, and tolerances.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Familiarity with 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
