Job Description
Title: Maintenance - Basic Skills
Responsibilities
1 Maintain a safe and clean work area per 6S standards.
2 Refer unusual or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
3 Know appropriate level of shop math as required.
4 Read and interpret schematics including, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic + mechanical (component drawings) to complete repairs with minimal guidance.
5 Must have completed all outside studies per training program.
6 Have most of the tools of the trade.
7 Must know operation of and how to start, stop & shutdown all production machines, equipment and support systems.
8 Perform maintenance and repair all production machines, equipment and support systems, with minimal guidance.
9 Make basic electrical repairs, advanced with guidance.
10 Make basic hydraulic repairs, advanced with guidance.
11 Do basic welding (gas and electric), advanced with guidance.
12 Make clutch and bearing repairs.
13 Build and modify part chutes.
14 Maintain building and grounds.
15 Perform outside seasonal duties such as: sweeping, picking up of trash, debris and leaves, clear snow (using snow plow, snow blower and shovel) and salt.
16 Recognize problems, correct them and make recommendations on how to prevent them to your supervisor or support engineer. (Machine, Material, Tool)
17 Diagnose causes of machine malfunctions, with guidance.
18 Maintain proper documentation and communications to ensure efficient coordination between shifts and departments (e.g. quality, engineering, maintenance)
19 Orient when requested by supervisor.
20 Comply with all Quality Management System procedures and work instructions.
21 Utilize Visual Factory to perform duties when applicable
22 Utilize JIRA
23 Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor.
