First, we would be looking for you to have 5 years' experience as a Machinist within a full-service machine shop. A high school diploma or equivalency is required.
Second, this position will be responsible for things like operating machining tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders in order to produce tooling from established blueprints for use in FWM manufacturing processes. The Machinist will operate measuring instruments to verify accuracy of parts. The Machinist will also disassemble and assemble tooling as necessary to troubleshoot discrepancies, inaccuracies, and flaws, created when using the tooling equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Most of the time spent standing or walking.
Occasional lifting necessary, with assistance when lifting heavy objects.
Frequent bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting.
Average weights in production range from 10-25 lbs. Maximum weights may exceed 75-80 lbs. on occasion.
