Position Summary:
The Process Engineer works closely with line operators to understand machine functionality and performance, then identifying ways to standardize settings to maximize throughput. Will serve as a liaison between the production and maintenance teams. Standardize and document change over procedures to clearly define roles and responsibilities across departments. Also work to provide troubleshooting guides to operators establishing clear expectations and responsibilities for the production operations and maintenance teams.
Essential Duties:
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years
University degree or college diploma in the field of engineering (4 year).
3-5 years' experience working in engineering and maintenance. Experience in consumer products and food packaging.
Minimum Qualifications – Education, Skills & Abilities:
Minimum Formal Education: Bachelor Degree
Equipment/Software Experience:
Functional experience in use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Database structures is a plus. Working knowledge of JD Edwards and prior experience with CMMS systems is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:

4) Analytical skills to identify savings.
6) Ability to report all food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action and follow GMP
Supervisory/Functional Management Requirements:
Manages a single function with supervisory responsibility and has budget responsibility
List titles and grade levels of direct reports
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
Physical:
Job often requires confined sitting, climbing, crouching kneeling, finger/hand dexterity, standing and walking.
Overtime may be required in meet project deadlines.
Some travel may be required for project research, training, etc.
Sensory:
Ability to communicate via speaking, listening and visual means.
Ability to give verbal direction and negotiate. Ability to use visual means to convey drawings and specifications of work task.
Mental/Reasoning:
Ability to use analytical skills to determine the correct course of action.
Ability to leverage math skills to reduce risk and manage budget accuracies.
Ability to manage several projects at the same time.
