Assistant/Associate Professor, Computer Engineering (Finance)

Description:

The Computer Engineering Program (CENG) at the University of Houston-Clear Lake invites applications for one full-time tenure-track/tenured Assistant/Associate Professor starting in Fall 2025. The rank will be determined based on overall qualifications. The Computer Engineering Program offers an ABET-accredited BS and an MS degree.

UHCL is currently a Bachelor's and Master's granting university with select doctoral programs. Located adjacent to the NASA-Johnson Space Center, the UHCL campus is set within the scenic Armand Bayou Nature Preserve, about 30 miles from both downtown Houston and Galveston Island.

Due to time restrictions, the position will be open until filled with a review of applications beginning immediately. UHCL reserves the right to extend the search or not fill the position.

Duties:

• Strong commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Maintain a strong record of scholarly research.
• Perform service activities.

Required Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering or a closely related field at the time of appointment.
• A proven teaching and research interest in the broad area of Robotics and its applications.
• An associate professor candidate must have a proven record of excellence in teaching, research and service.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching interests in ROS, digital signal processing, and/or embedded systems.
