Shipping Clerk - Hog Technologies (Administrative)
Specific Responsibilities Include:
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials. See more occupations related to this task.
• Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications. Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
• Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count. Investigate and report reasons for discrepancies.
• Pull, package and ship orders.
• Run Ship Manager for Fed-Ex, UPS Worldwide, among others for both international and domestic shipments.
• Use a point-of-sale system and understand the sales order process.
• Order and maintain stock of shipping materials such as boxes, packaging paper and tape.
• Send daily order confirmations via Outlook.
