Role reports to: Commercial Head of US Baby Care
Location: Kenvue is currently in the process of moving its Global Headquarters from Skillman, NJ to Summit, NJ. This role is based in Summit, NJ but there may be a period of time during the transition that you must report to Skillman, NJ.
Travel %: 25%
Pay: $119,000 - $205,850
What you will do
The Senior Brand Manager will lead the US growth ambition of AVEENO® Baby & Kid's Care, the #1 Therapeutic Brand in the category. In this capacity, they will be responsible for the design of a consumer-centric strategic vision, in-depth portfolio management and robust activation plan across our national and retail landscape. This candidate will play a critical member on the Baby Care leadership team, work cross-functionally with our local and global partners in service of the US market needs and lead a team of direct reports to achieve our goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Can develop, lead, and execute business and strategic plans to meet future needs and expectations for the Franchise, including monitoring market dynamics to develop and/or change strategic and tactical marketing plans.
• Achieves sales, consumption, and share objectives for the Franchise
• Can guide the development of current and/or future forecast for all brands within the Franchise and updates throughout the year; supervising budget to support financial objectives.
• Partners with advertising, PR and influencer agencies to set communication strategies and develop integrated campaigns that maximize consumer reach and business results.
• Leads the commercialization and in-market execution of product launches; including partnering with sales management to plan and execute retail programs; providing support for future pipeline development, partnering with innovation team to ensure proper insights, ideation, positioning and subsequent hand-off to brand team for launching.
• Leads cross-functional teams that may include R&D, Sales, Graphics, Packaging, Market Research, Finance, and Operations to develop and manage marketing objectives, goals and strategies.
• Plans and directs the performance of 2 direct reports: motivates employees, assists in goal setting and coaching, provides development and growth opportunities, leads performance feedback, addresses issues and resolves problems.
• Creates a high-performance culture that instills integrity, creativity, teamwork, insight and excellence throughout the marketing organization.
• Ability to lead cross-functional, diverse teams through a complex business environment.
• Ability to manage a complex portfolio.
Required Qualifications
• A minimum of a BA/BS in Marketing or a business-related field is required. An MBA is preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of business experience is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive commercial experience is required.
• Marketing or sales experience in a Consumer-Packaged Goods environment is required.
• Previous people management experience is required.
• Previous agency management experience is required.
• Requires up to 20% domestic travel.
• Candidate must have superior leadership skills. Demonstrated track record of successful business results and new product launch experience is required.
• Experience through different product life cycles (mature brand, new launch, turnaround).
• P&L/financial management and business/strategic planning experience are required.
