Controls Engineer II (Biotech)

The Controls Engineer Level 2 will support ongoing Lonza operations through technical assistance as it relates to the manufacturing and process automation systems. This engineering role provides a technical resource to operations customers to ensure that instrumentation and automation systems are designed and operating to meet production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop technical knowledge on manufacturing equipment and processes automation systems.
Support resolution of equipment breakdowns and quality issues in the suites.
Conduct troubleshooting and technical analyses on manufacturing equipment and processes automation systems including PI data analyses, review/troubleshooting code, etc.
Assist with tech transfer, projects, and process improvements as needed.
Performs all work safely and meets the requisite training requirements.
Complete change request lot assessments to support lot release.
Review SOPs, Functional Specifications, and work instructions.
Remain up to date on all assigned training activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in applicable engineering field or Computer Science.
4+ years related work experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with focus on Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to think critically and logically.
Strong communication skills. Ability to work with other collaborating teams.
Able to work "on-call" hours as required.
