Computer User Support Specialist (Finance)
1. Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving technical problems for users, whether in person, over the phone, or via remote access.
2. Technical Support: Offering guidance on software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity.
3. Data Collection & Management: Gather, clean, and maintain large datasets from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
5. Installation and Configuration: Setting up new equipment, installing software, and configuring systems for optimal performance.
6. Training: Educating users on how to effectively use software and hardware, including best practices for security and maintenance.
7. Documentation: Keeping detailed records of support requests, resolutions, and user manuals or FAQs.
8. Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc analyses as needed to support specific business initiatives or inquiries.
Skills and Education:
Strong communication abilities, problem-solving skills, patience, and familiarity with various operating systems and software applications. Familiarity with statistical analysis and modeling techniques is a plus.
3 years' experience and applicable requisite basic certification or a BA/BS degree. A degree in information technology or a related field, along with certifications like CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional, can be beneficial.
