As a Community Supports Network (CSN) employee, you will have an opportunity to be part of a team that supports people with intellectual disabilities and/or mental health needs to increase their independence and develop their talents and skills to reach personalized goals and improve their quality of life.When doing this, you become the teacher and learner all at the same time. Areas of support that your team will focus on often include; community involvement, job skills, education, physical & behavioral health, and daily living skills.
As a Front Line Supervisor (FLS), you will oversee the day-to-day operations at one of our residential homes, similarly to the way you run your own home! Each location has between 1 to 3 clients living in the home. Your time will be split between direct support hours and administrative hours. You will develop and lead your team of Direct Support Professionals (DSP's) to deliver quality services that help support our clients to learn, grow, and live their best possible lives and thrive as members of their community!
FLSs are part of the weekend/Holiday on-call rotation for the agency once trained.
Front Line Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage & Oversee Residential HomeAssist with daily tasks/chores like cooking, cleaning, medication managementSupport individuals to practice and maintain good hygieneRun errands such as shopping and going to appointmentsEncourage and foster individuals hobbies and interestsProvide habilitation & complete documentationEngage, Coach, and Develop Team MembersSupervise employees to ensure they are following Safety and Quality processes and regulationsResolves employee issues through problem resolution, communicating job expectations, and appraising job results; counseling, disciplining and coaching employees; coordinating, initiating, and enforcing systems, procedures, and policiesTracks absenteeism and timekeepingProactively assist with the hiring process and training of new employeesLead, coordinate, and prioritize tasks, provide all necessary progress reports and trackers as directed by the Program Coordinator
Front Line Supervisor Requirements:
1 Year experience in a supervisor role required1 Year experience in the field of intellectual disabilities and/or behavioral services preferredMust be 19 years of age or olderMust have High school diploma or GED Must have valid drivers license and current auto insuranceMust have personal reliable vehicle requiredMust pass all background checks Must have excellent attendance and punctuality and the ability to achieve and maintain training and certifications which require afull range of motion and physical strength
Knowledge, Skills, Experience (NOT REQUIRED just nice to have!): We provide free in-service training, however, experience with any of the following is always nice to have!
