Position Summary
The Office Manager in the School of Social Sciences Dean's Office is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Dean's Office, implementing plans, processes and procedures to ensure effective and efficient functionality to support the success of strategic priorities. This position also provides executive support to the dean, including managing the dean's calendar, organizing meetings and travel arrangements, assisting with expense reports, gathering data for reports, and assisting with projects. In addition, the position assists with development and serves as the front-line contact for the office.
The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a university setting.
Workplace Requirements:
Hybrid position: After a probationary period, this position is offered as a hybrid role, combining both in-office and remote work to provide flexibility and support collaboration. The department currently allows 1-2 remote days per week after the probationary period. Per Rice policy 440 , work arrangements may be subject to change.
Proposed Hiring Range: $56,000 - $60,000
